Israel's Bombing Attack and Iran's Deterrence Response

Gross Double Standards in the Responses of the West's Puppet Leadership. The Partners in Genocide Are Earning More Contempt from Their Own Citizens. Trudeau's Fishy Position Begs Many Questions.

The leaders of the G 7 countries have displayed their gross double standards beginning with their lack of a coherent response to Israel’s bombing on April 1st of the Iranian Embassy in Syria. This strategic silence was followed by the near-hysterical reaction of the G7 reps as they commented on Iran’s necessary retaliation to maintain an equilibrium of “deterrence.”

The retaliation for the Israeli attack on Iranian sovereign diplomatic territory in Damascus took the form of an Iranian drone and missile attack on Israel. This innovative and measured action was done in ways well calculated to produce few if any deaths as well as very limited property damage.

The April 1st surprise attack intentionally killed a number of people (16) including 3 Iranian Generals. On the other hand the Iranian response, which seems so far to have killed no one, went forward with much prior warning to Israeli officials and to other involved parties.

The Iranian approach allowed for plenty of time for the IDF and its helpers to organize the means of shooting down slow-moving drones and cruise missiles. The operation also seems to have established that some of the ballistic missiles easily broke through all shields to crash down on target on the runway of the Navatim Air Base.

The Iranians made their point, finally responding directly from their own country to Israeli provocations conducted over the course of many years. These provocations include concerted cyberwars and repeated assassinations of the Persian country’s top brain trust.

The G7 figures that have become contemptible in the eyes of many of their own citizens for helping to facilitate the Israeli-US genocide in Gaza. The G7’s further embrace of the world’s top genocidaires will not go unnoticed.

Some of the G7 puppet leaders are considering joining Netanyahu’s pet project of declaring Iran’s top echelon of military leaders a “terrorist group.”

This designation was already adopted by Donald Trump as part of the outgrowth of his demolition in 2018 of the UN’s nuclear agreement with Iran.

There has been lots of talk about slapping down more sanctions on Iran, continuing a process that clearly worked in the favour of Iran’s ally, Russia. It seems the G7 like the NATO countries are mired in the past not able to learn from their abundant past mistakes.

Rather than piling more sanctions on Iran, the necessary discussion in the West should be on boycotts, divestment and sanctions in response to the ongoing genocide of the Israeli-US partners in mass murder through bombardment, forced starvation, destruction of hospitals and many more techniques. The discussion should be about blocking Israel from participation on the Paris Summer Olympics.

How Is Canada Involved in the Entrapment of Iran by Israel’s Attack on the Iranian Embassy in Syria?

The response of the government of Canada to these developments has been especially peculiar. Canada’s Embassy in Syria is directly adjacent to the demolished part of the Iranian Embassy, sometimes referred to as the Iranian consulate. Canada’s diplomatic structure incurred significant structural damage from the Israeli bomb attack. The full extent of the damage to Canada’s Embassy has not been divulged.

In spite of the Israeli aggression that put Canada’s diplomatic edifice in harm’s way, Canadian officials have remained quiet on the subject. Why? Their silence speaks volumes. As Michael Bueckert, Vice President of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME), commented,

“While Netanyahu drags the entire region towards a catastrophic war, Canada won’t even speak up when its own embassy is attacked. Instead of pushing back on Israel’s provocative actions, Canada is giving unconditional support to a rogue state.”

As explained in the CJPME journal, “Canada condemned the Iranian attack” without even mentioning the Israeli criminal actions that triggered it. The Canadian PM is offering full support for Israel and its right to use lethal force whenever it wants. The Canadian PM is basically arguing that Israel is not bound by any international laws. As Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared,

Canada unequivocally condemns Iran’s attack on Israel. We stand with Israel… We support Israel’s right to defend itself from these attacks.

It seems that Trudeau is incapable of giving even a passing thought to the right of Palestinians to defend themselves let alone the right of Iran’s right to defend itself. Trudeau is not even capable of coming up with a verbal defence of Canada’s diplomatic edifice in Damascus after it was subjected to Israel’s predictable collateral damage.

From its compilation of social media post, Full Fact has reported

“The Canadian embassy in Damascus is literally 30 meters away from the Iranian embassy. All the employees of the Canadian embassy in Damascus were withdrawn half an hour before the Israeli strike... It’s not a coincidence.” 

This report is seemingly contradicted by another element of Full Fact story. Full Fact reports

A spokesperson for Global Affairs Canada told Full Fact that: “There are no Canadian diplomats in Damascus. The Embassy of Canada to Syria, in Damascus, suspended its operations in March 2012.”

Global Affairs Canada announced in March 2012 that it was suspending embassy and consular operations in Syria because of the “deteriorating security situation” and said Canadian diplomats had left the country.

It is highly likely we are not being told the full story by the Trudeau government. Given the strategic locale of the Canadian Embassy in Damascus, is it not possible that some sort of intelligence agency business is being conducted there off the record and under the radar?

When Global Affairs tells us “there are no Canadian diplomats in Damascus.” But how do we know that US and/or Israeli and/or Canadian spies have not been using the premises? How do we know that the strategically placed Canadian Embassy was not being given over to the intelligence work of companies contracted by Mossad, or the CIA, or MI6?

The Response of Global Affairs Canada does not directly contradict the report that people were asked to leave Canada’s Syrian outpost on April 1, fully 30 minutes before the Israel’s lethal bombing attack? Nothing has been said that runs counter to the distinct possibility that the Canadian government had prior knowledge of the imminent attack, probably the most serious violations ever of the Vienna Convention regulating international diplomacy.

Is the government of Canada in some way complicit in the crime involving the lethal bombing of the Iranian Embassy. This unprovoked bombing occurred as an outgrowth of Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza and the West Bank. The impunity of Israel for its serial violations of international law apparently just goes on and on.

All the US seems capable of coming up with, as it hands over to Israel copious weapons of mass murder, are timid requests to please make the genocide kinder and gentler. The complex of crimes may extend to Canada’s sharing with Israel, strategic intelligence concerning the comings and goings of Iranian officials next door to the Canadian Embassy in Damascus?
